Easing Into Spring

Well, we are finally having a break from all of this ran we've been having lately. It's still a bit cold so I've been slowly transitioning my wardrobe by wearing softer colors, less layers, and a couple of warmer weather items mixed in. For example, on Saturday I wore my Jack Rogers with jeans and a 3/4 sleeve shirt instead of sneakers or flats. However, I'm still anxiously awaiting the day I can pull out all my spring dresses.

Two things I have been loving lately are this ring from Dualitas and this White Tea Lip Gloss from jane iredale. Dualitas make such unique pieces. Each one includes a stone that various cultures have believed hold numerous metaphysical properties, which have a positive effect on the wearer. This ring contains blue chalcedony, which is said to absorb negative energy and dissipate it. It was considered sacred by the Native Americans, and used to promote stability during their ceremonial activities. It is supposed to be a peace-making stone that encourages stillness and calm. The ring is designed so that the stone itself comes into contact with your skin, which is pretty cool. Now for the lipgloss; I love a good nude lip. I go through phases where I want to wear all bright colored lipsticks and then where I only want to use a nice nude gloss. I've had this one on repeat lately. It has such a great hint of color and leaves my lips really hydrated. It's also packed with antioxidants, which I love.

Let me know how you are transitioning your wardrobe and what you're loving lately down in the comments!

 What I'm Wearing:

  14. I love learning about what properties different stones have. Very interesting.

I'm doing a lot of 3/4 sleeves from LOFT and Pixie Pants from Old Navy while I keep an eye out for warmer weather.
