Jane Iredale Fall Collection

Thursday, September 17, 2015

I have another makeup review for you guys! These are all from the jane iredale fall collection. They had so many great things I couldn't decide which few I wanted to try. I decided to go with a lip pencil, eye shadow, and mascara.

You already know that jane iredale is a Massachusetts based brand that I love. Their products are cruelty free and don't contain any ingredients that are harmful to your health. The products are actually good for your skin. I always feel good putting their makeup on, rather than guilty about sloughing all these chemicals all over my face.

PlayOn Lip Crayon
I opted to try this in the color Charming, which is a really creamy bubble gum pink. It looks a little darker than it is in the photo above. It's a really wearable pink. This lip crayon has a really lovely texture. It's light and moisturizing, but still pretty pigmented. The formula is fairly long-lasting as long as you're not eating or drinking. This is the first lip crayon I've ever used, and I'm glad I tried it. I was in love with how it left my lips feeling softer and hydrated without being heavy or sticky. I'm dying to try it in some of the other colors.

PurePressed Eyeshadow Single
I usually stick to neutral eyeshadows. I like to keep it safe and colored shadows can get very cheap and tacky, very easily. I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone and picked this shimmery seafoam green color called Mermaid. It's still pretty neutral but more color than I'm used to. The shadow is really blendable, I've been having fun playing with it and using more color on my eyes. You can apply this wet or dry. Not to mention that the compact itself is gorgeous! It's sleek and the mirror inside is a magnifying mirror so it's great for applying makeup or keeping it in your purse to check on things throughout the day. I definitely want to try this out in some of the shimmery neutrals that it comes in.

There are two things that make a mascara great, the wand and the formula itself. This mascara has both. The dual sided wand allows you to reach every lash and feather out the product making your lashes look longer and more voluminous without clumps. It gives you dramatic lashes that still look natural. The formula is long lasting and doesn't flake. It also removes easily with just a little bit of coconut oil. It's currently my favorite mascara. I've found myself reaching for it more than I thought I would.

This was a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.

  2. LOVE Jane Iredale products! I used to only use those and then stopped for a while during our wedding & home purchase to save money but I'm thinking about going back to them! My skin was so much healthier and blemish free!
