You guys may have noticed I hardly ever wear pants. Over the years I've developed a disdain for them. They never seem to fit right, they fall down all day (even when I'm wearing a belt) and I have to constantly yank them up. Even when I buy pants in a short or petite size they're still too long so I tend to reach for skinny cuts of denim so I don't have to get them hemmed and I'm not going to be stepping on the bottom of the pants. When Talbots asked me to take their new Fabulous Five-Pocket Collection for a spin I was skeptical. I went down to the store and tried on all the different styles and decided to go with something different than I usually go for and chose the more relaxed boyfriend jeans. I truly wasn't expecting to like them as much as I do. They're a little higher waisted, which I love because it's more flattering on my body type and they don't slide right down. I don't even need a belt! They are comfortable and have just the right amount of stretch. Oh, and the petite size fit without a bunch of extra fabric at the bottom! I've been wearing them on the cooler days we've been having and I know they will carry me well into the upcoming seasons, especially with the darker wash. I kept the styling pretty simple here, but wanted to pair the relaxed pant with a more feminine shoe so I wore my go-to nude sling-backs. It was fun to go out of my comfort zone and find a new favorite pair of jeans. I'm excited to get to play with styling a boyfriend jean now as we move into fall. I definitely want to grab these jeans in more cuts, I also loved the slim ankle version of the Flawless Five-Pocket Collection so those are next on my list!
