Beauty Review: Christine by Van Thomas Concepts

Monday, January 19, 2015

The first step to having good hair, is having healthy hair. Hair products are great but my two (or three) absolute must-haves for healthy hair are a good shampoo and conditioner and a heat protector. Pistol & Stamen sent me some samples of shampoo and conditioner from the Christine Line by Van Thomas Concepts to try out, and I thought they were both wonderful products.

Both have a wonderful, light, and clean scent. The shampoo is sulfate-free which is important to avoid damage to your hair. What is really great about it is that it has a micro-lather technology which despite being sulfate-free allows it to really lather up and thoroughly clean your hair. The conditioner is very light but effective. It's like my hair is instantly softened and smoothed after I use it. It seems noticeably more healthy after just one use. I don't even need to use a leave-in or additional product (unless I'm styling with heat!). The products use three key ingredients to achieve this: keratin, silk, and jojoba oil. I also love their philosophy of making the most of the short time you're in the shower. Sometimes I don't have time to sit there for 30 minutes with a hair mask on but I want everyday to be a good hair day, and with Christine it is. It can be difficult to find a product that is gentle, effective, and not heavy but the Christine line is all of these things and more.
